Gilles Gagnon 1938 — 2015

Gilles Gagnon

It is with great sadness that we announce the swift passing of our beloved husband, dad and grandpa, Gilles Gagnon.

Gilles was born in Mistassini, Quebec, on July 1, 1938, the third of twelve children. He married Therese on July 28, 1964 and together with their first born daughter they moved out West to Kamloops. Gilles was an active member of his church, signing in the choir and as a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.

Predeceased by his parents Aurelien and Anita (Guay) Gagnon and his oldest brother Jean-Claude Gagnon, Gilles passed peacefully with his loving and loyal wife of 52 years, Therese, by his side. He also leaves behind two daughters, Chantale and Helene (Scott); three grandchildren Kody, Katelyn and Erika; 10 siblings: Laula Morrison, Celine (Paul) Gagnon, Bernard (Monique) Gagnon, Laval (Florence) Gagnon, Michele (Ghislain) Gagnon, Ginette Gagnon, Jacques (Nicole) Gagnon, Louiseanne (Denis) Gagnon, Andre (Maude) Gagnon, Carl (Linda) Gagnon, many (great, great)nieces and nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, July 6, 2015 in St. John Vianney Parish, 2826 Bank Road, Kamloops BC. Father Jerry Desmond, Celebrant.

Prayers will be recited on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 7:00pm in the Church.

Theresa and family my sincerest sympathy. Gilles was such a thoughtful kind man. He spoke to my husband and always made him welcome when we came to church. His wonderful singing and thoughtfulness will always be how,I am sure,he will be remembered.
