June Carswell 1926 — 2017

June Carswell

Our beautiful mother left this world for the next early Friday evening, July 7, 2017. Mom passed away peacefully with many loved ones with her in those final hours.

June was a loving sister, aunt, grandmother and devoted friend to many. Her home was a haven for many people, the tea pot always ready, and a helping hand to all.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Red, her two elderly sons, and her two older brothers. She leaves behind a loving group of siblings, children, grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

The Funeral  Mass for June will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11am. Father Paul Simms, Celebrant. In memory of June, donations are gratefully accepted to the St. Vincent de Paul, 168 Briar Ave, Kamloops, BC V2B 1C1.

Dear Kevin,Trish and all of June’s family and the Scallon family:
Once again all of memories from so many years ago are brought back to me.June’s wonderful Irish sense of humour,Red’s story telling abilities and the fact that I well remember the day she first brought Red into our store and introduced him to us are some of those that are brought to mind.It is a bit sad that in our older years we do not keep in touch as much as we might like to do ;thinking of you all -Stella,Francis and Joe as well.Kind thoughts.

Kevin, Trish & Family: My thoughts are with you as I have just heard of the passing of your mother. Many fond memories from years of adventures and comradeship on Regina Ave. Your mother and my mother (Flora) were great pals and she passed away on my deceased mothers birthday.
