Steven Baxter 1985 — 2017

Steven Baxter

It is with profound sorrow and sadness that we announce the death of our deeply beloved son, Steven. During his short life, Steven touched many people with his humour and love. He spent many hours writing and playing his guitar and enjoying fishing adventures. His curiosity and love for a party were boundless. He was a true free spirit, living for the day. Steve will be missed an remembered by the many who knew and loved him. Steve is survived by his broken hearted parents, Dave (Shanamay) Baxter, Roseanne (Rich) Kovasin , sister Taylor (Dylan), grandpa Tom and grandma Betty. We wish to thank Steve’s numerous community of friends in Kamloops and Courtenay and the Trout Creek crew who provided support and assistance during this very difficult time. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 4169 Forfar Rd. (off York Rd.) in Campbell River B.C. from 12:00 to 4pm.

    Dave and family,

Words can’t express the sadness you all must be feeling at this time. I see a “young” Dave in the photo of Steven and it brings a smile to my face. I know you’ll hold on to so many precious memories of Steven throughout your lives.

    With sympathy,

    Adrian and Marlene Wall

I had the pleasure of meeting Steven when he was just a wee tyke and later when he was 10. Steven and his dad spent the weekend with us and my 11 year old twin girls had huge crushes on him. He was a “true free spirit” even then.
My heart hurts for you all and I’m so sorry. Love abounds forever and so will his memory. Such a gift for you to have his writings and guitar.

My sincere condolences, with much love,
    Brenda

PS, Steven’s in good company with my daughter (Kristy) who passed last year at 31 as well …

    So sorry for your loss.

Steve and I were recent friends. His smile and laughter I will miss. He was a truly nice man.

Steve was a wonderful friend, shocked and hurt to this day. WE met in Lillooet bc , then he found me on fb. Six years of talking on fb then we finally had met up during a tough time in my life. Recently had a dream of him, coming to check up on me and see how I was doing. Felt so real talking to him, and looking at him. Ill never forget him as a great friend he was. Today I woke up thinking of him, send my love and condolences to the family.
