Garry Grant Robertson, a devoted husband, father, brother, son, and friend, passed away at his home in Kamloops, BC, on October 2, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born on March 20, 1952, in Gaspé, Quebec, Garry was one of eleven siblings and shared a special bond with his twin brother, Larry Lee. He was predeceased by his parents, George Alexander and Ola Grace Robertson.
Garry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Maryanne; his daughter, Johanna, and her husband, Jake; and his son, Grant, and his wife, Chiara. He is survived by his sisters Kasandra, Gloria, Mary, Keli, and Cathy; and his brothers Robert, Clint, Larry, Ron, and Terry. Garry will also be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Garry found great joy and purpose in his many years with the railway, where his coworkers became like family. He truly loved his job, took great pride in his work and cherished the camaraderie, it brought, both on and off the tracks.
Garry lived his life with integrity, generosity, and a drive that never slowed. He approached everything he did with full force and unwavering dedication, setting an example of exceptional work ethic and perseverance. His love for his family was boundless, and his steady support and encouragement will forever be a source of strength to those he leaves behind.
Garry’s life reminds us of the value of hard work, kindness, and living each day with purpose and heart.
A service to celebrate Garry’s life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, BC.

Beautiful words about Garry and so so true. He was a legend of a guy. He had infectious confidence and a way to just make things happen. Always jovial and ever sociable, I’m going to miss him a lot.
