
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Jaswant Singh Gill, of Kamloops, BC on April 15, 2026 at the age of 90.
Jaswant was born on November 15, 1935 in Jagdev Kalan, Punjab, India to parents, Karnail Singh and Kartar Kaur Gill.
He immigrated to Canada in 1960, first living in Victoria, BC, then Avola, BC and finally settling in Kamloops, BC. He worked most of his life as a lumber grader for Evans Products, Balco and Tolko.
Jas was very social and enjoyed visiting with his family and many friends, who affectionately called him Bhau.
He is predeceased by his parents, Karnail Singh and Kartar Kaur Gill and sister, Amarjit (Ambo). His lovely wife, Harbhajan Kaur Gill and son-in-law, Jack Adam.
Dad is survived by his devoted children Paul Gill, Kamla Adam, Aman (Jim) Greatbanks, Raj (Bob) Neville, and Sonny Gill. Grandchildren, Kelsey, Jay, and Jake. Also, Jesse and Jamie Adam. Sisters, Parmjit (Balbir) Sandhu and Sukhvinder (Randhir) Bhullar, and brother Satwant (Raj) Gill.
We’ll miss you dad.
A Service will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at 1:30pm at the Kamloops Funeral Home 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, BC, followed by prayers and langar at the Kamloops Sikh Temple, 700 Cambridge Crescent.

I am saddened to hear of your loss of your dad. My Husband Rocco spoke often how kind he was. They had great visits and he was kind, compassionate and always enquiring of each others families.
