It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to announce the unexpected passing of Glen Mantie. Glen passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Kamloops Royal Inland Hospital. He was born October 25, 1961 at the Surrey Hospital.
Glen went to South Kamloops Secondary School and studied at Thompson Rivers University.
A potter for almost 20 years, Glen started out at the Kamloops Arts & Craft Club, then very quickly went on to join the Thompson Valley Potters Guild. At one point he was president of the TVPG. He was loved and respected by all of his fellow potters. As a self-employed Potter of Grimwurks Pottery, Glen was a friendly face at many farmers markets and sales.
Glen was a gentleman, a scholar, a kind generous soul, and an amazing artist. He will sadly be missed, but not forgotten.
Glen is survived by his father Ray, numerous relatives and friends. Glen was predeceased by his mother, Phyllis and his daughter Miranda Kuss.
A Memorial or Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Please feel free to share your photos and memories of Glen.
In lieu of flowers you may donate to a charity of your choice.

One Tribute
Glen was my neighbour at the Kamloops Farmers’ Market for the past 9 years and I always looked forward to schmoozing with him. He was a kind soul, always available to help someone setup. I miss his presence there. Too soon taken away.
