Jacques Joannes Chave

Jacques Joannes Chave of Kamloops slipped the surly bonds of earth on September 27, 2018 . He is survived by his loving wife Harriett, his brother Jean-Pierre (Marie-Jo), children Rene (Nancy) Chave of Victoria, Sylvie (John) Williams of Trail, Jean Marc Philips of Vancouver, and Darcie Prokop of Chilliwack, stepchildren Robert (Kuniko) Janel of Burnaby, and Dr. Kathleen (Michael) Janel Armijo of Seattle, nephew Chris (Lisa) Chave, six granddaughters, one grandson, three great granddaughters, many loving nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in-law, extended family, and dear friends too numerous to list.

Jacques was born on October 5, 1934 in Nimes France. He moved his wife and three children to Canada in 1963. He worked 35 years in radio and television for CFJC. There are many chapters in his book of life.

Dearly loved and greatly missed, is our Jacques.

A Celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive. COLOURFUL CLOTHING PLEASE!!

Carol Anne Bergen 1967 — 2018

Carol Anne Bergen

February16, 1967 – August 28, 2018

In loving memory of Carol Anne Bergen, born in Surrey, BC. She lived in Port Alberni, Victoria, Vernon and finally Kamloops. She is predeceased by her parents Dennis Bergen, Ann Leible, and sister Rhonda Bergen, also grandparents Ed and Mary Case, and Paul and Alice Balcaen. She leaves behind two sisters Lorelei (Kevin) Holden, of Salmon Arm, Deb Butler (Daryl) Holden of Kamloops, brother Rod (Deb) Bergen of  Revelstoke, and many nieces and nephews. A tea in Celebration of her Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday October 13, 2018 in the Kamloops Funeral Home. Any friends and loved ones welcome.

Anne Kuz 1929 — 2018

Anne Kuz

December 20, 1929 – September 20, 2018

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of our loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Anne Kuz.

She is survived and will be missed by son Ron, daughter Judy (Jock) Stewart; grandchildren Todd Stewart (Crystal), Keith (Brandalyn) Stewart, Tarra (David) Hinton; great-grandchildren Marissa Stewart, Troy Stewart, Lexi Stewart, Cameron Hinton. She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Tony in 2011; mother Mary, father William and only brother Sam.

Anne was born on December 20, 1929 on her family farm in Fork River, MB. She moved to Kamloops in 1949 where she met Tony Kuz. They were married on October 28, 1950 and raised two children, Ron (1952) and Judy (1954).

She was a lifetime member of The Ukrainian Catholic Church. She especially enjoyed her time spent at the numerous work-bees with her friends of the Ladies League as they prepared perogies, etc. for upcoming events. She loved her flowers and garden, with her roses being her pride and joy. Another favourite pastime was playing cards, with many games of crib being played over the decades.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the nurses and staff at Overlander Extended Care (Evergreen) for their care, kindness and compassion given to Anne over the years.

Prayers will be held at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 109 Tranquille Rd., Kamloops, B.C. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.; Funeral Service held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Ethel May “Peggy” Noble 1920 — 2018

Ethel May “Peggy” Noble

Ethel May “Peggy” Noble of Richmond, BC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 98 years of age. She is survived by her loving son David of Miami Beach, son in-law Douglas, nephews Dan and Brad, and niece Patti. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Sydney.

 

The Graveside Service was held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 21, 2018 in Hillside Cemetery, Kamloops, BC, with Pastor Don Maione officiating.

 

Donations in Peggy’s name may be made to the Kamloops Hospice, 72 Whiteshield Cr., South, Kamloops BC V2E 2S9.

Susan Jane Charlton 1954 — 2018

Susan Jane Charlton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of  Susan J. Charlton. On September 15th, 2018 with her children and very close friends by her side, she finally found relief. Rest in Peace. Susan was born in North Vancouver BC on June 6 1954 to George and Terry Gagnon. She worked with children and families for over 20 years in  Kamloops. She was a well loved and an influential person in her community. Susan was a beautiful wife and mother that loved her family wholeheartedly. She will be missed dearly. Susan is predeceased by her husband of 42 years Lee, survived by her children Jamie, Nick, Robynn and Cody, mother Terry and siblings Rick, Emily,Ken and Kathy, as well as many grandchildren. Prayers will be recited on Friday September 28, 2018 at 7:30pm in the Sacred Heart Cathedral. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday September 29, 2018 at 1pm in Sacred Heart Cathedral. Archbishop Richard Gagnon and Father Derrick, Concelebrants.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Margorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice. Much love and gratitude goes to the staff that cared for Susan.
