Mary Kathryn Brown of Kamloops BC passed away on February 9, 2015 at the age of 95. Beloved mother to Sharon (Roger) Millar of Blackie, Alberta and Linda Susan Brooks of Kamloops, BC; grandmother to Karen Millar and Tracy Millar of Calgary, Alberta;

sister in-law Anne Heise; aunt to seven nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her first husband, Earl Holmes, second husband Bill Brown, grandson Richard Millar, son in-law Bill Brooks, two brothers Bob and Charles Heise; sister Norma Neilson, sister in-law Anne Heise,  brother in-law Bill Neilson, sister in-law Edith McLeod; and her parents Landon and Ella Mae Heise.Read More & Leave Condolences »

Hali Hudson (Sharman Rankin)

Hali Hudson (Sharman Rankin) of Kamloops passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 62 years of age. She is survived by her loving boyfriend John Sundman of Kamloops, her children Crystal Rankin of Calgary, Jonathan Rankin of Calgary, Dave Chown of Kimberley, Monique Shebbeare of Vancouver, and Harry Shebbeare of Vancouver, grandchildren Summerlynn Carlson, Maya Shebbeare, Carter Chown and Bryce Chown, sister Karen Amiro, nephew Ryan Amiro and Joe Amiro. Hali Hudson was the daughter of the late Doreen Petch and Howard Tully. She was also predeceased by brother Mark Tully and sister Sandra Tully. Hali loved books and reading. I remember as a child, mom loved to bake, knit and make crafts with us. She will be remembered for her kind heart and free-spirited personality. Hali was loved by everyone who met her.

George Manuel Peters (Howard)

George Manuel Peters (Howard) of Kamloops passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015. He is survived by his loving parents Gordon and Marilyn.George was born on Christmas Day in 1986 in Lytton BC and attended school from age 4 to 17. He loved to travel with his parents, travelling to Hawaii, Mexico, the U.S.A., Haida Gwaii and many other spots. George loved being with and around people. He was very caring and loving and taught lessons to many people, although he was unable to speak.                                                                                                                                                                                                                         The Funeral Service will take place at Summit Drive Baptist Church on Saturday, February 14th at 2:00pm, with Pastor Don Harrison officiating. Following the Service, George will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 13 from 7 to 8 PM in the Rosewood Room at Kamloops Funeral Home.

Mildred Beatrice Trusler 1920 — 2015

Mildred Beatrice Trusler

Mildred passed away peacefully on the evening of January 31, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband Walter and her son Bryan.She will be cherished forever by her family; son John (Lucy) granddaughters Jennifer and Shana and great grandson Mackenzie; her son Roy (Dee) and granddaughter Tahnee(Brandon); her daughter Marguerite and granddaughter Laura (Anthony), great grandchildren Aiyana and Soul; grandson Shane (Nesta), and granddaughter Heather (Shawn).

Mildred was born in Manchester England, the eighth of nine children. During the Second World War, she served in the British Air Force and in 1946, she came to Canada as a War Bride.In 1964 the family moved to Kamloops. In past years she served as President of the Mothers Auxiliary to the Air Cadets, Member and President of the Vinsula Womens Institute, member of Mount Paul United Church Women’s Group, and participated in a very active Bridge Club.She spent the last few years before retirement at the Overlander Care Facility, employed in the Dietary. Mildred grew an astonishing English Country Garden. She and Walter spent many happy hours there and at the cabin they built at Adams Lake in the late 60s.
