March 6, 1948 – April 14, 2026
Alan Jones passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 78.
Alan spent 32 years as a paramedic—a career that kept him busy, on his toes, and never short of stories. He also volunteered with St. John’s, always ready to help out when needed.
In his younger years, Alan enjoyed fishing and golfing—though if you asked him, the fish were always bigger and the putts were always closer than anyone else remembered. More than
anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Later in life, Alan faced a number of health challenges, which he handled with determination, resilience, and a healthy dose of stubbornness.
He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Noreen, his daughter Deanna, and his son Jamie and daughter-in-law Jen. He was a proud grandfather to Dominic, Dawson, Liam, and Makayla,
who kept him busy and gave him plenty to smile about.
Alan will be remembered for his dedication, his steady presence, and his quiet sense of humour. He lived a full life, did things his way, and will be missed by those who knew him.
