Damian Carter Dyson, a dedicated and compassionate young man, was called home to the Creator, on September 19, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound impact on those fortunate enough to have known him. Born on February 12, 2002, Damian’s short yet meaningful life was marked by unwavering commitment to his loved ones and an enduring spirit of positivity.
Damian possessed a strong work ethic that was evident to all who crossed his path. He was always ready to extend a helping hand to anyone in need, a testament to his selflessness and the depth of his kindness. His infectious optimism and love for life shone through in every endeavor he undertook.
He is survived by his loving father, Eric Jones, and stepmother, Kaely Corrigan, who guided him through life’s challenges. Damian’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his siblings: Natalia Jones, Corey Jones, Shanna MacDougall, and Bethany Bradbury. He leaves a lasting legacy that will be treasured by his grandparents, Gary and Irish Jones, his aunt Mary Dyson, uncle Joshua Dyson, grandmother Sandra Dennis, and aunt & uncle Daniel and Carrie Jones.
While we mourn his passing, we must also remember his mother Naomi Dyson, and uncle John Dyson, who preceded him in death.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Damian’s life will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Kamloops Funeral Home at 285 Fortune Drive.

We decided to make a memorial channel in the discord server to remember you as you rest with your flame still lit in the Iron Keep. I loved you like a brother and as a partner. I knew you for 9 years and you were always my best friend. I’m glad in your final moments in this world I was able to call you mine. I love you and I wished I could have been able to fulfill my promise to you in visiting you and spending time with you at least once. I hope you are in the halls of Valhalla celebrating life with Odin and your past loved ones. Gods how I broke hearing about your passing. When I met you, your light absolutely spoke to mine and we quickly became friends. Then from there we became family. I was so happy to call you my kiddo from such a distance. I was happy to be there when you needed that comfort in times you didn’t have it when you had sudden break downs. Three years and you made up a majority of the people I’ve trusted. To think of the crazy impact you’ve had on my life through just knowing you online and calls/voice channels/ and gaming. I’m going to miss the crazy antics you used to give me, miss giving you chaste mentions of drinking enough water, and just being a good figure for you. You gave me so much to look forward to and I’m going to miss you so, unfortunately you were called home way too soon. I hope my fur babies up there come and give you tons of love and attention. Until Valhalla calls us home, I’ll be here living my life to the fullest and spreading the life and joy you have shown me.

Words can’t express how heartbroken I am to find this out. You would think as short a time as we knew each other, this wouldn’t have that much of an affect on me but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. I saw the news as soon as hunter shared the news and it’s hard to believe that you’re really gone. I know you will never see this. I’ve been in complete shock all day. We were literally just playing Roblox together not long ago. Trying to run that grocery store with Kha’Dejah and Michael. And I even wanted to contact you the other night to see if you wanted to join us since we were alittle short staffed. And guess what else man! Apeirophobia got a massive update! I wanted to tell you that too because I know we played that a lot together as well and have been waiting for this damn update for almost a year now. They added 8 new levels to it and are going to release it on October 1st. Ironic init? I was so excited to play it with you guys and when brother mentioned that you me and hunter should play together again today, I broke down crying and ended making him cry too because I had to break the news to him and he considered you good friend too. We haven’t known each other very long, but you’ve been such a big light in my life and I’m grateful to have met you when I did. You’ve gotten me through one of the most difficult times in my life and if not for you, hunter, and snow, I probably wouldn’t even be here myself. Thanks for all the laughs and random late night chats we had when everyone fell asleep in call. Thanks for playing Roblox with me every night till 6 am. Thank you for being such a sweet and kind person. I’ll never forget you Damian (Snake) and you will always have a special place in my heart. You’re an amazing person, friend, brother and I’ll miss you so much. Rest easy friend you deserve it.
Also, my brother came up with a sweet idea. Since the two of you bonded together over it. He wanted us to play through the entirety of apeirophobia from start to finish in your honor on the first since we wouldn’t be able to come say goodbyes to you at your funeral. I know it’s silly but I think it’s kind of sweet. I hope you’ll be watching us that day and laugh as me and him fail ALOT.
