WENDEL MARK LINFITT 1961 — 2023

WENDEL MARK LINFITT

Our brother, known lovingly as Brother Bear, Uncle Mark and Great Uncle Mark, passed away in Kamloops, BC on Sept 3, 2023.

The first of three sons born to Ed and Dianne Linfitt in Dawson Creek , BC on December 1, 1961, Wendel is survived by his brothers Michael and Murray, his sister in laws Vicki and Bernie, his nephews and niece Christopher, Steven and Kimberly, and his great nephews and nieces Aiden, Natalya, Isabelle, Logan, Louise, Lily and Thorin.

Our dad said everyone needs to be good at something or have something to be proud of. He was right about that. Wendel worked hard to achieve his goals and put his all into whatever he did. He was a talented Red Seal journeyman carpenter that could build anything he put his mind to.

Wendel loved spending time visiting with our aunts, uncles and cousins and sharing in their lives. He was generous with his smiles and his quirky sense of humour and was always willing to use his talents and abilities to lend a helping hand.

He was an explorer at heart. His hobbies were exploring nature and treasure hunting with his metal detectors. His passions were movies and video games and exploring the worlds they provided. He had a beautiful and kind spirit as anyone who knew him will attest to……

Rest in peace Brother Bear, you are missed.

There won’t be a formal service but if you wish to, please make a donation in Wendel’s name to the heart disease charity of your choice.

    Michael and Murray
I’m so sorry to hear that Mark has passed. I haven’t been in touch for years, but remember him as a very soft hearted and kind person. He kept in contact with mom (Emily) for sometime and she would receive a call out of the blue that would make her day. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss.

I was a former co-worker and friend of Wendel. I was surprised and saddened to hear of his sudden passing. I will miss him.
