April 26, 1933 – April 4, 2016
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa, John Burns Shaw. John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean, his children Heather, Robert (Lori), Tanya (Mike), his grandchildren, Dalyn (Evan), Mikey, Sam, Maddy, great grandchild Haven, and sister Pinx (Chuck). John was predeceased by, father John, mother Mary and sister Betty.
He will be dearly missed by all.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 a 1:00 pm, in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, BC.

I was so very sorry to hear about Jock. I know what a wonderful person he was and how important he was to all of you. I hope that all of those warm and special memories will bring you some comfort during this very difficult time. Thinking of all of you and keeping you close in my prayers and heart.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Shaw passing away.
Some of my best memories as a kid were at the family cabin at the Shuswap. He was the best pancake maker ever, and would not let you only have one or two, but usually three or four until you were so stuffed. And when we got a bit older he would be on night patrol making sure all the boys stayed outside in their tents, and all the girls were cuddled up in the cabin safe and sound. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
