The family announces the passing of our mom and gramma in the early morning hours of August 15.
She is survived by her two children: Donald McQuay (Iris Rich) and Shelley (Chris) Roerslev. Her grandchildren: Codie McQuay, Colter McQuay, Alysha (Jesse) Roerslev, Liam Roerslev, and Joshua Roerslev. Her brothers: Ralph (Eva) Lazzarotto and Hector (Ola) Lazzarotto and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews both in Canada and Italy.
Ines was born in Golden and raised in Revelstoke and Monte Creek with her two brothers Ralph and Hector. She completed high school in Kamloops at St. Anne’s Academy and her nurse’s training in Victoria at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Jessie Paterson Birrell born in Burris, Ont., July 27, 1921, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2014 in Kamloops, BC. Jessie was predeceased by her brothers Tom and Morrison and sister-in-law Eileen. She is survived by her brother Bill in Emo, Ont., sisters-in-law Eleanor and Rita; three nieces, two nephews and six great-nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the wonderful nursing staff at Overlander Residential Care, specifically the Blueberry Nursing Station.
