My sister and myself have very fond memories of the McBride family. Lots of summer where spent with the family at the dairy farm in Langley. As a group of young children growing up it was always fun spending time with our cousins.
Jim I know over the last numerous years your health has not been good. We feel very fortunate to have had you as a cousin and a friend.
    Love
    Bonnie and Cheryl (Cook)

    Cea and family,
I had the privilege of working with Jim in the last few years before he retired from the TNRD. His knowledge of local government as unparalleled as were his acquaintances. Above all he was always a professional and always a gentlemen. My condolences on his passing.

Cea and Ken, please accept our condolences. Jim was my boss for many years when he was Municipal Clerk in Maple Ridge (from 1980 until he moved to the TNRD) Our little department was always there for each other in good times and sad times and Jim was a great mentor. Shirley and Joe Karasz.

Cea and family, our sincere condolences on the passing of such a lovely man. Jim was so helpful to me when I came to Canada in 1980 and I worked along side him at Maple Ridge City Hall. He would explain what certain Canadian terms meant when I would look puzzled and always with a great smile and sense of humour. Our thoughts are with you all. Margaret and Gerry Hennessey

Lyn & I are very saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. Jim had a wonderful combination of abilities. He was efficient and knew protocols and the right way to handle the most complicated situations with discretion & diplomacy and yet he never lost any of his “neighbour next door” friendliness and kindness. It was a pleasure to work with Jim for all those years in Maple Ridge.
Our love to Cea and family, Richard & Lyn (Wells)

Dear Cea, Ken and Family; Your family and the community lost a good man. Jim was not only a respected colleague but a man I was proud to call my friend. His love for his family, humble personality, work ethic and exceptional knowledge of all matters related to local government were just a few of Jim’s endearing qualities. The world is in dire need of more men like Jim and we can all be thankful that we were able to share some of his limited time on earth … All of my respect and condolences … Former colleague and friend Bob Finley

Cea and Kenny, I am so sorry to hear that Jim has passed, you will miss him dearly. Jim was such an intelligent, kind person that knew someone everywhere. I don’t know how many conversations over the years where we found mutual friends from port Mcneill to Langley. He’s was a very fine gentleman and is gone way too young.
