It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Harriet Hettrick. Mom passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the age of 73. She was the eldest of three children, and was born on December 7, 1941 to her parents, Harry and Julia Drake. Mom was predeceased by our Dad, Alfred Jerry Hettrick in 1997. Mom and Dad were married in 1961 and moved from Saskatchewan to BC in 1963, and settled in Kamloops in 1966. In 1971, we built a cabin on property purchased at an area lake. Many weekends were spent there as a family. Mom loved fishing and the spectacular views that this recreation provided. In her earlier years, sewing was an avid pastime. Mom enjoyed setting puzzles and spending time in her flower gardens. Mom enjoyed collecting knickknacks and her latest fondness was for hummingbirds. After raising her family, Mom’s greatest passion was being an Avon representative. She dutifully fulfilled this passion for approxiamately 40 years. She received numerous awards and accolades for her achievement as a representative. She loved the company of her customers, many of which became close friends.

Vivian Isobel Costerton (nee McClounie) born in 1934, passed away in her sleep on July 19, 2015. She was surrounded by love and the comforts of home when she slipped her hand in His and went home.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Bill, and her son Johnny as well as her parents Colin and Dorothy McClounie. Those who mourn her passing include her sisters Jean (Harry) and Ruth, and her children Diane (Duncan), Sheila (Darrell), Bob (Kathy) and Nancy (Paul). Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and they will miss the Granny who impacted their lives so wonderfully. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Emily Houston (nee: Caldwell) with family by her side.
Emmy was predeceased by her loving husband Tom, her grandson Bradley Harpe, son-in-laws Ken Bradley and Warren Coray.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Anne (Gordon) Collison of Chase BC; Terry (Bill) Harpe and Linda Coray of Logan Lake BC; Nancy Bradley of Kamloops BC and Tom (Clare) Houston of Fort McMurray AB.

Robert Alexander Seaton born March 1st, 1926 in Edson Alberta spent his childhood and youth in the coal branch towns of Mountain Park and Luscar in the Rocky Mountains east of Jasper with his mother Jean (1999), father Thomas ( 1965 ) and siblings Jeanette, Renee ( 1997 ) and Tom ( 2009 ), died July 18th, 2015 in Kamloops B.C. He was educated in Edson and Luscar, joined the army in 1945, deployed to Europe, arriving weeks before the end of WWII. He then returned to Red Deer where he completed high school, followed by Edmonton for a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta. Upon graduation, Bob was hired by the Alberta government as a clerk in the Department of Mines and Minerals. Over the next twenty years he married Dolores, had three daughters – Catharine (Brent) , Pamela ( Ian ), and Alexandra ( Paddy ) – and rose through the ranks to attain the position of Assistant Deputy Minister in the Ernest Manning government. In 1975, he resigned his position to start his own consulting firm with a close government colleague Dale Jordan, giving birth to Seaton-Jordan & Associates, a firm which operates today from its base in Calgary.In his position as president and expert on Alberta government oil and gas regulations, Robert travelled the world apprising oil companies in places such as Norway, Chile, Greece, Germany and Egypt of Alberta regulatory law.Read More & Leave Condolences »
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ulrike (Uli) Tuschek Davis on July 16, 2015 at the age of 66. Uli was an only child and leaves behind her loving father Isidor (Isy) Tuschek and devoted husband of forty-five years, Gord. She also leaves behind her sons and daughter-in-laws, Eric (Erin) and Keith (Amanda), as well as, four precious grandchildren Kaden, Tristan, Grace and London. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary, in 2010. Uli leaves to mourn several relatives from Vancouver and Austria. Uli was born November 26, 1948, in the town of Enns, Austria and immigrated to Canada Thanksgiving 1952. After marrying in 1970 she and Gord moved to Kamloops where they have lived ever since. She spent many years as a teacher and librarian in the local School District. She loved music, travel and of course shopping! More than these things, Uli enjoyed colouring, drawing and playing the teacher role to her most prized students- her four grandchildren.
A Celebration of life will be held Wednesday, July, 22 at 1:00pm in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Dr., where friends and family can come together. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may make a donation to the Marjorie Willoughby Hospice Home (www.kamloopshospice.com) or The Royal Inland Hospital Foundation (www.rihfoundation.ca).
