Joseph Etienne Cyrille Vidal, the love of my life passed away quietly September 19, 2017. Born November 24, 1929 in St. Louis Lotbiniere, Quebec. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 63 years, Gemma, his sons’ Leslie (Sheila), David (Jodi); granddaughter Jessica (Michel) Boucher; great grandson Remi; grandson Andrew ( fiance Cynthia) and children; brother in law Guy Voisvert of Quebec. Also many nieces, nephews in Alberta and Quebec. Cyrille was the last living of 13 children.
Cyrille had many trades, welder, pipefitter, millwright and lagger with asbestos. He worked in a pulp mill in Hinton, Alberta for 15 years. Moved to Kamloops in 1972 where he started working for Weyerhaeuser pulp mill until his retirement in December of 1989. Another one of his trades was a boat builder, he built row boats, cabin cruisers and kayaks. He played hockey until he was 42, coached hockey in Hinton Alberta and Kamloops. Cyrille loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing and hunting.

The Funeral Mass for Cyrille will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 635 Tranquille Rd. Father Paul Simms, Celebrant. A Private interment will be held at 9 am on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in Hillside Cemetery.

So sorry to hear that Cyrille has passed away, I enjoyed working and skiing with him over the years and we became good friends. May he rest in peace. I sorry that I’m away on vacation and won’t be able to say goodby at his service. He will be missed.

Cyrille was an amazing person. He was so likeable with a great sense of humor. We got to know Cyrille and Gemma when we lived in Kamloops. Our family enjoyed picking cherries in your backyard. Thinking of you Gemma and your family during this sad time. He will be missed.
