August 24, 1938 – November 11. 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mom, aunty, grandma, and great grandma, Joyce Mary Louise Neis. Joyce is survived by her brother; Gordon (Nat) Mitchell, her seven children; Shirley (Robert), Leo, Edward, Bertha (Roger), Agnes, Angeline (Philip), and April. Joyce is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her dearly. She was a faithful member of the Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Parish with her beloved husband Clarence Neis. Both Clarence and Joyce were greatly fond of Father Peter and the OLPH family. Joyce was a donor too many different charities around Kamloops and her giving heart knew no bounds. Joyce was a beautiful person inside and out. Not only was her home always a safe welcoming space for friends and family, but Joyce herself was always willing to lend a helping hand or ear to anyone who needed love and support. She will be remembered for her never ending kindness, delicious home-cooked meals, and beautifully unique heartwarming love that only Joyce could offer.
Prayers will be recited At 7:00 PM, Friday, November 25th OLPH Church, 635 Tranquille Rd. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 26th at OLPH church. Celebrant, Reverend Father Peter Nguyen. A further celebration of life will be held in August of 2023 with details to follow.

Condolences to all the family. I have such fond memories of Joyce and Clarence as a teenager enjoying time with Angelina and the family. I travelled with them to fairs, rodeos and Jasper. I remember sitting around the kitchen nook laughing and telling stories and jokes. She will be fondly remembered by us all.
I feel so blessed to have had the Neis family as neighbours and friends growing up.
May you Joyce be reunited with your beloved husband Clarence, which I know will bring you peace.
You are gone, but never forgotten as your family is here to live on your legacy.
Thank you for being one of my neighbourhood moms.
On behalf of myself and Mother,Josie DeCiccio we would you like to extend our deepest condolences to April and family. We remember your Mother/Grandmother fondly and will live my her example of always approaching life with kindness, love and such a giving spirit. Sending love and prayers to you now and always.
Dear April and family
I have wonderful memories of time spent at your home as a teenager. There was a warmth in your home, sitting in the kitchen nook, enjoying pickles and sausage or a mint from the candy bowls around the house. Your mom was strong. I felt that, even with the next challenge around the corner, she was there to support, listen and share her wisdom. Her arms not only encompassed her family and the friends who came by but also those in our community. I remember at least one foster baby that she cared for and likely there were many others. I admired her dedication to God and her Catholic community, and how she read her bible often. I admired how she walked with her neighbour friend every evening. Your mom knew how to laugh and having fun was as easy as driving down Tranquille road (you and I in the back seat) with the windows down, smiling and laughing at the young guys in the car beside us as we raced past them! I am sure that now, she is smiling, supporting, listening and caring for you from God’s arms. May you feel her presence when you reach out to her. May your hearts find peace.
