It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loved one. Gord was born in Lac La Biche, Alberta and remained in Alberta until the Gascon family moved to Kamloops, B.C. in February 1973. Gordon graduated from Norkam Secondary in 1979 and then became a certified plumber and gasfitter. He was a hardworking man and dedicated to his profession. When not working he could be found camping with his friends and family. His greatest passions included rock ‘n roll music and sports. Gordy was always the life of the party, and always had those around him laughing. His two proudest moments were the days his children were brought into this world
He is survived by his daughter, Rochelle Gascon; his mother, Arlene Gascon; his sisters, Linda (Dave) Maartman, Donna Gascon (Mike Malm) and brother, Allen Gascon; his nieces Tana (Colton) Hunt, Janel Maartman and nephews Jerrid (Kelsey) Robinson, Taylor Robinson (Kylie Tilbury) and Bryce Maartman (Erika Spijksma); his great nieces Adria Hunt, Norah Robinson and great nephew Ezra Robinson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Gord was predeceased by his son Jesse Gordon Gerald Gascon (1994) and his father Gerald Norman Gascon (2015).
Gord made friends easily and kept them for life. He was loved by all who knew him and will forever be remembered for the loving, outgoing and generous man that he was.
Please join us in the celebration of life at 1140 River Street, Kamloops B.C., on May 20th, 2017 from 3pm-6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
