July 16, 1951 – September 29, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share that our mom, Donna, has passed away. She was the heart of our family—the one who kept everything moving, knew where everything belonged, and somehow managed to hold us all together.
Donna loved her garden, and in later years she found joy in sharing its flowers and vegetables with neighbours. She was always checking in on her sons and grandkids, and her heart was never too full to welcome more. She listened, encouraged, and quietly made sure everyone felt cared for.
She is now reunited with her husband, Raymond “Big Al” Allan Schrader, who left us only days before. It is hard to imagine them apart, and it feels right to celebrate their lives side by side.
Donna and Al are survived by their sons, Lawrence and Darren (Margaret), grandchildren Luke, Emily, Jacob, Lili, and Megan, and goddaughter Isabella. Their love and legacy will carry on through us.
A viewing for Donna and Al will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, October 11th at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive. A combined Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm on Sunday, October 12th. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be streamed online so all can join in remembering them.
Flowers gratefully accepted or you may make a donation to a charity of your choice. The Service will also be available online at https://ipcamlive.com/5f98c1fdc1e47
