Doris Blundell passed away peacefully at Overlander Residential Care Home in Kamloops, BC on September 2, 2017 at 96 years of age.Doris was born in Aberdeen, Scotland September 17, 1920 and came to Canada shortly after her 6th birthday. Survived by her sons: Brian (Marion) Blundell, Kamloops and Mark Blundell, Lac La Hache, BC; four granddaughters: Jacqui (Peter) Martell, Logan Lake, Michelle (Randall) Blundell-Dunkerley, Calgary, AB, Melissa (Angus) Muir, Surrey , Brooke (Sam) |Sommer, Kamloops; two grandsons: Clark Blundell, Clearwater, Stuart (Kori) Lac La Hache, BC; 13 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris was predeceased by her loving husband Roderick (November 3, 2002), her oldest son and daughter-in-law , Derek ( June 3, 2013), Claire Blundell (Nov 28, 2009) and granddaughter Nicole Blundell ( Nov 1, 1997), (Brian & Peggy). Doris was a talented painter, potter, sculptor, doll maker and quilter. She will be remembered in a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Sep 16th, 2017 in the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Dr., Kamloops BC.

So sad to say goodbye to my favorite aunt. She is the last of the Clark generation in our family and will be deeply missed by all of us. I have such fond memories of visiting Kamloops over the years for family get togethers. Doris, Sandy and Isabel were the glue that held us all together. It’s with great sadness that I learned that Doris passed away. My friend Mary Ellen and I called her our special
..aunt…as she reminded us each of a favorite aunt. I ll have lots of happy memorie of lunches,teas and doll making times…we had such fun . She will be missed so much by friends and family……love and condolences to the family
I was so sad to hear of Doris’ passing. She was a special lady, and my late husband Alex (Sandy), and I, had such great visits with her and Rod over the years.
