May 27, 1942 – May 15, 2025
At the age of 82, Doug passed away peacefully at Ponderosa Lodge in Kamloops, BC. Born in North Vancouver to parents Laird and Mona Crawford, Doug was mostly raised in the 100 Mile House area. Doug married Monica on June 13, 1964, and they had three children Glen, Jenifer and Ken. Following an electrical apprenticeship in the Kootenays, Doug and his family moved Kamloops in 1972 where Doug started his own electrical contracting company. Doug was always looking for the next investment and made many friends through trying new businesses.
Doug enjoyed time with his family and, although he wasn’t the most emotional man, everyone in his family new he loved them. He was an avid curler in his younger years, and throughout his life enjoyed time at the lake, golfing and hunting. Later in life, he spent several winters in Arizona.
Doug is predeceased by his parents Laird and Mona Crawford, his son Glen Crawford and brother Dave Crawford. He is survived by his former spouse Monica Crawford, his children Jenifer Crawford and Ken Crawford (Lisa Orange), Grandchildren Allison, Eric, Alex, Taylor, and MacKenzie, siblings Maureen (Arnold) Boudreau, Terry (Judy) Crawford and Bill (Laurie) Crawford, former daughters-in-law Cari Rutten-Crawford and Keiry Millan-Pacheco, as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews and special people in his life.
