Ewart Lional McQueen of Kamloops passed away on December 29, 2013 at 80 years of age. Survived by his wife Izzy, three children and six grandchildren. Son Doug (Susan) McQueen ( Shawna, Shannelle, Shelby and Chad), daughter Sharlene (John) Bowers (Tanner (Jordi) and Darcy (Jodi) LeBourdais and son Jim (Anne) McQueen. Ewart is predeceased by his Brother Allan McQueen of Saint Albert, Alberta. Born in Jasper Alberta on November 27, 1933, Ewart spent his youth riding horses, fishing and camping in the park. At the age of 17 he hired on with CN Railway, in 1967 the family moved to Kamloops, Ewart retired after 37 years on May 31, 1989. The Family spent their summers at Shuswap Lake. Ewart took great pride in his grand children rarely missing a hockey, baseball, soccer game or practice. Ewart and Izzy are dedicated Blazer fans and have supported the teams from their seats in section “A” for many years. At Ewarts request there will not be a service the family will gather this summer in Jasper to celebrate Dads, Grampa life.
