It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. George will be forever remembered with so much love by his wife of 59 years Nancy, his daughters Sandra (Mike), Debbie (Rob), Donna (Tony), his grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, brother and many dear friends.
George was a kind, loving, generous man who always had a great story or hilarious joke to tell. He brought so much happiness to all who knew him. He enjoyed his many years being a truck driver and loved owning a variety of antique cars. George’s greatest joy was the love he had for his family, “his girls,” and he would do anything for those he cared about. He also loved his dogs as much as they loved him.
No formal ceremony will be held but when you think of George remember him with love and a smile. In the end he was grateful for his life and he “thanked God for looking after me all these years.”
A beautiful soul has left us but in our memories, you live on. We love you! “Bye for now”
Psalm 23

Nancy, I was saddened to see the notice of George’s passing in the newspaper. As the property manager of the duplex next door for 17 years, I had the pleasure of getting to know you and George through the good times and the bad. I always enjoyed our over-the-fence conversations. George was such a friendly neighbour who kindly kept an eye out for the goings-on of my tenants and who didn’t hesitate to call me to let me know when bad things were happening. I will certainly miss hearing his signature “bye for now!” at the end of a phone conversation. He will be missed!!
