February 7, 1925 – January 19, 2015
Helen Bodnar of Kamloops, BC passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 89 years of age. She is survived by her brothers Steve, Walter and Nestor all of Kamloops, sister Olga Pastachak of Quesnel, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Mike, her sister Victoria and brother John.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Kamloops Seniors Village and their staff for their care over the past nine years.
The Prayer Service will take place at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2015 in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints, 1044 8 St, Kamloops, BC., with The Very Reverend Archpriest Roman Trynoha officiating.
The Funeral Service will be held at a later date in Toronto, Ontario.

so sorry for your loss Steve,it was a pleasure to look after Helen over the years.
We were surprised by the news of Mrs. Bodnar’s passing. It’s been many years since I have spoken to her but will never forget the many wonderful times we had with the Bodnars at my parents home in Toronto. Mrs. Bodnar was a gentle, kind soul and her soft spoken voice always put one at ease. Although, I did see her get feisty on rare occasions, usually fueled by church politics. 🙂
