It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, sister, and aunt, Jeanette Schlivinsky, who went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024.
Jeanette was born February 15th, 1948, in Yorkshire, England, and grew up in the little village of Harden. At the age of 21, she immigrated to Canada where she came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, met her husband Bill, and raised her family.
Jeanette was predeceased by her husband, Bill Schlivinsky, siblings Lorraine Thompson, Ian Thompson, John Thompson, and Neil Thompson, as well as many of her in-laws, including her sister-in-law and dearest friend, Joan Thompson. She is survived by her daughters Annette (Dwight) MacMillan and Dawn Schlivinsky, siblings Albert (Hazel) Thompson, Marilyn Bolton, and David (Elaine) Thompson, in-laws Elaine Schlivinsky, Doreen Fourneau, and Garry (Pamela) Schlivinsky, and her many nephews and nieces.
Jeanette will be greatly missed by all of her family and dear friends. She will be remembered for many things, including her faith in Jesus, her fun sense of humor, her love, sacrifice, and devotion toward her family, as well as her love and devotion to her friends.
A service will be held in Kamloops at the Christ Community Church on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:00 am.
