It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Madeline at RIH surrounded by those she loved.
Madeline will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of over 60 years, Bud, her sons Renwick (Penny), Robert (Heather), step son Tracy (Sandy), sister Jean (Al), brother Valie (Elsie),sisters in laws Patricia (Lindsay), Lorraine Senger and her husband Fred Bell , grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Madeline was a devoted wife and mother whose family was the center of her universe. She was a quiet and private person who asked nothing for herself. She was always thinking of others and continually putting their needs ahead of her own.
Born in St. Cyr Lake, Saskatchewan she remained a country girl her whole life. From those roots she learned to be an excellent seamstress, knitter, cooking skills that were legendary, canning everything dad could grow in the garden or pull out of the lake, jams and jellies, there was nothing she couldn’t bake, and it was all outstanding.
One of her many joys was visiting family or having them coming to visit her and dad. When things would slow down she would sit in their country home and quietly read until the next visitor dropped by.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive.
Please join the family for a reception following the service.

Dear Bud and boys,
I am so sorry to hear of Madeline’s passing and join you and your family in this sorrowful time.
Madeline was my favourite cousin as she was the closest to my age during our school days way back at St. Cyr Lake, Sask. She was always so calm, polite, easy going and a really good friend.
It is regretful that it has been years since I visited you guy’s, time passes by way too quickly these days.
Next summer let’s go fishing.
With great sadness,
Your old friend, Lorne.
