MARGARET WEISSBROD 1935 — 2025

MARGARET WEISSBROD

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Margaret Weissbrod, who passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, at Royal Inland Hospital at the age of 90. She will always be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lorilee of Kamloops; her brother, Joe Turner of Kamloops; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Carl; her sisters, Ina and Wilma; and her brother, Art.

Born in Kamloops on February 25, 1935, Margaret married Carl Weissbrod on May 16, 1969, and they welcomed their daughter, Lorilee, soon after. She worked as a bank teller and telephone operator before dedicating her time to raising her daughter. Margaret had a passion for gardening, especially her beautiful roses. Her beloved cat, Allie, held a special place in her heart and was her constant napping companion in later years.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff and friends Margaret made at Chartwell Ridgepoint over the past 7.5 years. Special thanks as well to the compassionate nurses and care aides on the second floor of Sun Rivers Care Home for their kindness during her brief stay.

She will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life tea will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 PM at Chartwell Ridgepoint in Pineview, Kamloops (1789 Primrose Court).

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the SPCA.
