It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, Nathan Bryan Sneed on January 30, 2015 at 4:00 am.
Nathan was predeceased by his older brother Anthony “Tony” Sneed. He is survived by his father and mother Bill and Bette Sneed.
He will be missed by all his family and friends especially his longtime friend Diana Gallagher.
Nathan was born in Pampa Texas on May 19, 1960. For the next five years Nathan and his family travelled the USA and Canada, working in pipeline construction. They settled in Kamloops in 1965 where he grew up and went to school. Through those years he enjoyed playing sports like soccer and especially hockey. Following in his father’s footsteps, Nathan went into a career in pipeline construction. Nathan’s kindness, gentleness and good sense of humour will be missed by all.
We would like to thank the staff at RIH, especially the physicians and nurses in ICU, for the kindness and caring shown to Nathan and our family.
A Memorial Service for Nathan will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive.
Memorial donations in Nathan’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.

My heart broke when I found out Nathan passed! He was the closest to having a brother I ever had. When we were young he always watched over me making sure I had all I needed. Selfless, caring, gentle, witty. ….my friend! Condolences to the Sneed family and Diana. Dance with the angels Nathan. Until we meet again.
Bette and Bill it is with a heavy heart I send this. I had the pleasure of coaching Nathen, he was a big part of Team Toyota, that went on to win Kamloop first bantam provincial championship. Although, a few of them were a handful, the laughs and memories will go on forever. Rest in Peace….Coach Clovechok…La Cruz Huanacaxsle Mexico

My brother, Arthur Teed, was very, very, fond of Nathan growing up and throughout school. He passed away last year, and mentioned Nathan several times during his final days as he remembered happy times in Kamloops. I am saddened to hear that Nathan too is now departed. Still too young to leave this life. May blessings too you both.
Although my relationship with Nathan spanned only the short 2 or 3 years we played hockey together on Team Toyota so many years back that I can hardly remember it, when I opened the letter my mom sent and saw his face peering out at me, I instantly recognized him and that vast stretch of time between then and now disolved to nothing and I knew him once again.
My heart goes out to all of those who were close to Nathan and knew him well, especially his parents, whose pain must be immeasurable. To lose a child is perhaps the worst torment a human being can suffer, and for that I am truly saddened.
And to all of you who had the pleasure of knowing Nathan over the years, you are the fortunate ones, for your memories will keep his flame burning forever…
