May 27, 1933 – January 17, 2020
Gunther Willi Aichele died peacefully in his home with his wife Gisele by his side. He had suffered with severe back pain and various ailments the last couple of weeks, and is now at peace. Gunther is survived by his wife Gisele (Gisela) of over 58 years, his daughters Michelle (Miekel) and Sandra (Nicola) Aichele, four lovely granddaughters, Alex and Wilson Ewasiuk and Madison and Kennedy Aichele-Jones (all in Vancouver) and Zenn Aichele in Victoria. Gunther was the first paymaster at Lornex Mine, now Highland Valley Copper, until retirement in September of 1990. Gunther enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid skier, spent years at the tennis club, weekends away camping and then in retirement took up golf. He and his wife travelled all over North America with the motorhome which included; all of Canada, most of US and all of Mexico and the Baja. Gunther and his wife had enjoyed over a dozen cruises and visited 86 countries during his life time… so a full and fun filled life was lived. Gunther also volunteered for many sporting events and the Rib Fest for four years in a row. Thank you to our girls, grandchildren and dear friends for their support, friendship and strength during this difficult time. Many thanks to Dr. Stephanie Bourdeau and her wonderful staff for their compassion and understanding, also to the great staff and volunteers at our wonderful Hospice. Donations in Gunther’s name may be made to Hospice. No funeral service by request.
Linda passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 after a short illness. She is survived by her husband Brian, sons Nicholas (Amanda) of Vernon, BC and Frederick of Oshawa, Ontario, two grandchildren Madeline and Henry of Oshawa, brothers Bert and Norman Emery of Chilliwack, and her sisters Michelle Campbell of Chilliwack, Denise Taylor of Kelowna and Myrna Michelson of Ontario. No service as per her request. Donations in Linda’s name may be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association and would be appreciated by the family.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of
Paul who has been a beloved father, husband, son, brother and friend. Born and raised in Kamloops Paul will be remembered by his genuine smile and his contagious laugh. He is survived by his wife
(Pardeep), 2 daughters (Ashleen, Karleen) and fur baby (Sparkles). Paul was surrounded with love and support from his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held for Paul at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 11, 2020
in the Kamloops Funeral Home,285 Fortune Drive.

Robert Max Bogula of Logan Lake passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 87 years of age. He is survived by his daughters Anne (Rob) Parrish of Robert’s Creek, Lynn (Paul) Good of Maple Ridge and Leslie (Peter) Bogula LaVigne of Red Deer; grandchildren Alex (Charlie), Brad, Kevin Parrish, and Spencer and Allie Good.
Bob was born in
Montreal in 1932, raised his family with ex-wife Francoise in Vancouver, and
spent happy retirement years in Logan Lake. He was involved in many community
organizations and loved to spend time with his friends hunting, fishing, ATVing
and socializing.
The family wishes to
acknowledge his very dear friends Linda Dennison, Dave Crack and Les McDonell
for their extraordinary love and great care. A Celebration of Bob’s life will
be held in Logan Lake at a date yet to be decided.

It is
with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles
“Wayne” Gilroy on December 21, 2019 at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice
House where he was surrounded by family and close friends.
Wayne
was born on May 31, 1943 in Red Deer, Alberta and spent much of his early years
hopscotching all over B.C. His young
adult years were spent mainly in Chilliwack, Merritt and Vancouver where he met
his wife Carol. They eventually settled
in Kamloops where they raised their 2 children, Richard and Michelle.
Wayne
spent his early working life as a heavy duty mechanic and later moved into
equipment sales working at Interior Diesel, Ritchie Brothers and finally taking
a leap to become a founding partner of Woodland Equipment.
Wayne
was a very hard worker and truly valued the relationships he had with his
customers and the companies he represented.
Predeceased
by his parents John and Marie Gilroy, Wayne is survived by his wife of 52 years
Carol, his son Richard Gilroy (Kristy) and daughter Michelle Grice (Tom).
He is
also survived by his five grandchildren, Logan & Jackson Gilroy and Carter,
Paige & McKenna Grice.
Wayne
had an unforgettable personality and a unique sense of humour that will forever
be remembered by his friends and family.
In
lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden
Hospice House or the Canadian Cancer Society.
A
Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
