Arthur “Art” Wymond Turner, 95, passed away in his sleep on Thursday, June 13, 2019 in Kamloops. He was born March 14, 1924 to William and May (Lomas) Turner in Abbotsford, BC. Art was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Lorena; his sister, Ina, and his mother and father.
Survivors include his children Tom (Judy), Gary, Diane, and Larry (Sandra); 2 sisters, Wilma Baird, and Margaret Wisebrough; his brother, Joe Turner; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind many friends who knew him as an avid outdoors man, teacher and accomplished lawn bowler.
A Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 20th, 2019 at 10:30 am in the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Dr., with Pastor Don Maione officiating.
May 10, 1941 – June 7, 2019.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ronald Saunders. Ron was born in Athabasca, Alberta on May 10th, 1941. Ron grew up on a farm and developed a strong work ethic that stayed with him his whole life. Ron joined the military where he served a successful 26 year career with the Canadian Armed Forces, including two postings to Germany and a NATO peacekeeping tour in Egypt. Ron’s final posting had him at Mount Lolo radar station until the base closed. Ron then drove School Bus for School District 73 until his retirement at age 65. After retiring from the school district, Ron decided to continue driving bus for a few private and Christian schools in Kamloops until 75 years old. Every Christmas Ron would receive numerous cards, chocolates, baked goods and gifts thanking him for his gentle kindness, care and safe driving. Just last fall Ron sold his home of 30 plus years in Valleyview and moved to Ridgepointe Retirement Residences in Pineview. He would always comment that he felt spoiled having all his meals prepared for him and having a dessert with every meal. Ron was a loyal member of the Salvation Army Church and took great pride in being a Salvation Army Soldier. He took his oath very seriously and always had his shoes shined up for Sunday service where he would welcome everyone with a handshake at the door. Ron also volunteered countless hours manning the Christmas kettles at numerous locations in Kamloops. Ron’s presence will be sorely missed by his fellow worshippers. Ron was so proud of his two sons John (Jodie) Saunders of Nova Scotia and Ron (Coralea) Saunders of Kamloops, his two grandsons Theodore and Joshua Saunders and his granddaughter Jaime Saunders. Ron was such a kind and gentle man full of honesty and integrity who set a great example for his son’s. He will be missed and never forgotten.

February 4, 1968 – May 19, 2019
It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that the family of Owen announce his passing on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Victoria, BC at the young age of 51.
Owen is survived by his dog Cooper, who was his best friend, his Mother Meta, sisters Sue (Dan), Frankie, Sandy, and Jennina (Jim), brothers Monty and Mark (Fay). He was predeceased by his Dad Issac, sisters Lyanna and April and brothers Barry and Brian. Owen will be sadly missed by many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by his little community of friends that he considered family in Victoria.
Owen was always able to make people laugh and he was the life of the party. He was always happy to help people, even people he didn’t know. Owen lived life to the fullest but it was always on the edge. He was born in Terrace, BC and worked for tree topping companies in his younger years. He touched many peoples lives and was taken by surprise way too soon. As of late he was enjoying Demon Hunting, but he is now another Angel looking down upon us.
Rest in peace Cobb, you were a great son and brother. Cheers!!

Keith was taken from us on June 2, 2019 at the age of 55. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his mom Lila and his sisters Pat (Jim), Colleen (Len) and Annette (Wayne) and his nieces Dawn (Bob), Katie (Dylan) and nephews Doug (Jennifer), Eric (Nubia), Michael, Kyle (Bella) and all of his great nieces and nephews. Keith was predeceased by his dad Ed and his brother Carter.
Keith grew up in Northern Alberta and spent his time driving semi-truck to all sorts of remote places. In 2005 he moved to Kamloops to help raise his niece and nephew, Katie and Kyle. With the move he chose to change his career path and went into construction. He performed a variety of tasks such as a renovator doing carpentry, and then went on to heavy construction as pipe fitter, certified crane operator, heavy equipment operator and general jack of all trades.
His passion for riding really began when Keith purchased his Cherry Red Fat Boy Harley in February 2011. His circle of friends expanded with this new love of riding. He loved nothing more than to join friends on a road trip to wherever the winds took them. These friends became new brothers and sisters and joined his family.
