It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Terry Teruo Shishido on September 14, 2017 surrounded by his wife and two sons.

He will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Beth, sons Craig (Jasmine), Todd and grandson Austin, who brought him great joy.  He was also survived by his brother Eric (Maggie), sister Ruth (Paul) Beday, brother-in-law Keith (Glenda) Jones and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Terry was predeceased by his father Masae, mother Miyoko and his in-laws Norman and Margaret Jones.

Doris Blundell passed away peacefully at Overlander Residential Care Home in Kamloops, BC on September 2, 2017 at 96 years of age.Doris was born in Aberdeen, Scotland September 17, 1920 and came to Canada shortly after her 6^th birthday.  Survived by her sons: Brian (Marion) Blundell, Kamloops and Mark Blundell, Lac La Hache, BC; four granddaughters: Jacqui (Peter) Martell, Logan Lake, Michelle (Randall) Blundell-Dunkerley, Calgary, AB, Melissa (Angus) Muir, Surrey , Brooke (Sam) |Sommer, Kamloops; two grandsons: Clark Blundell, Clearwater, Stuart (Kori) Lac La Hache, BC; 13 great  grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was predeceased by her loving husband Roderick (November 3, 2002), her oldest son and daughter-in-law , Derek ( June 3, 2013),  Claire Blundell  (Nov  28, 2009) and granddaughter Nicole Blundell ( Nov 1, 1997), (Brian & Peggy). Doris was a talented painter, potter, sculptor, doll maker and quilter.  She will be remembered in a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Sep 16^th, 2017 in the Kamloops Funeral  Home, 285 Fortune Dr., Kamloops BC.Read More & Leave Condolences »

February 10, 1932 ~ August 30, 2017

David passed away peacefully with family by his side in Kamloops, BC where he spent the last month of his journey through life. During his early years David excelled in multiple sports with hockey being his first love. This love carried him to a tryout with the Chicago Black Hawks at the age of 16. Scholarships followed and David had a stop in Kimberly, BC to play for the Dynamiters. David returned home to Moose Jaw and met his sweetheart Frances who he married in 1954 and started a family the following year. With 2 kids in tow David & Frances moved to Saskatoon in 1957 to further his career in the Optical Industry. As the family and career continued to grow the next stop was Vancouver in 1971. In 1995 with career behind him and family grown up David and Frances made the journey back home to Moose Jaw to spend their golden years. In these golden years David rekindled his passion with the game of golf becoming an active member at the Lynnbrook Golf and Country Club. This passion became a second career for the remaining 22 years of David’s journey. Predeceased by his father and mother Floyd and Hazel, father and mother in-laws Harry and Doris, sister in-laws Kay, Fern and brother in-law Harvey.

Albert (Bert) Constante Piazza joined his beloved wife, Mona, in the presence of his Saviour, Jesus, surrounded by family on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the age of 90.

Mourning the loss of their father are Garry (Liz), Bonnie (Alan), Jim (Patsy), Sandy (Ben), Linda, Cheryl (Todd), Rob (Kumi) and Cindy (mother of Michelle and Mike).

Also, grandchildren Nic (Laurie), Jenny (Garrett), Tyler, Jason (Julie), Michelle (Gaston), Mike (Jessi), Elizabeth, Rachel (Stephen), Amy (Joe), Gayle, Curtis (Caitlyn), Andrew (Lyndsey), Jenny (Josh), Rishelle (Sean), Amanda (Steven), Cassie (Nigel) and Toddy (Zaria); and his eighteen great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Noelle, Rory, Norah, Fiona, Mikayla, Heidi, Darin, Blaik, Lexi, Ivey, Nash, Alex, Kinsley, Ryan, Rylee, Eden and London.  Also left to cherish his memory is his sister, Rena as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his loving wife, Mona, of 65 years, his parents, Benvenuto and Regina Piazza, his brothers Joe, Johnny and Frank and his sisters, Mary and Amelia.

Dad was born on January 24, 1927 in Walhachin, BC.  There he spent his early years before moving to Kamloops with his family.  He met and married his love, Mona, on June 16, 1951.

Throughout his life, Dad worked in a variety of places—Kamloops Bakery, CP Rail (clearing the tracks on the Kettle Valley Railway) and Dawson Construction—until he found his true niche at Westcoast Transmission Company (Spectra Energy) in 1958.  He retired at the age of 62, having worked there for 32 years.  Dad was a true jack-of-all-trades; he loved keeping busy, and was never content to just sit idle. So he began his new career doing maintenance at Aberdeen McDonalds, joining Mona who was also working there at the time.  The staff room downstairs became known as “Bert’s Room”.Read More & Leave Condolences »
