Gordon Gerald Gascon 1961 — 2017

Gordon Gerald Gascon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loved one. Gord was born in Lac La Biche, Alberta and remained in Alberta until the Gascon family moved to Kamloops, B.C. in  February 1973. Gordon graduated from Norkam Secondary in 1979 and then became a certified plumber and gasfitter.  He was a hardworking man and dedicated to his profession. When not working he could be found camping with his friends and family. His greatest passions included rock ‘n roll music and sports. Gordy was always the life of the party, and always had those around him laughing. His two proudest moments were the days his children were brought into this world

He is survived by his daughter, Rochelle Gascon; his mother, Arlene Gascon; his sisters, Linda (Dave) Maartman, Donna Gascon (Mike Malm) and brother, Allen Gascon; his nieces Tana (Colton) Hunt, Janel Maartman and nephews Jerrid (Kelsey) Robinson, Taylor Robinson (Kylie Tilbury) and Bryce Maartman (Erika Spijksma); his great nieces Adria Hunt, Norah Robinson and great nephew Ezra Robinson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Read More & Leave Condolences »

Beverley R. Ready (nee Taylor) 1946 — 2017

Beverley R. Ready (nee Taylor)

On April 25, 2017, Beverley, the beloved wife of Jack and mother of Keith, passed away peacefully in her sleep. Born in Kamloops October 24, 1946, the 3rd of 4 Taylor children, Bev graduated from KSS in 1964 and soon began working in the ladies wear of the new Woodwards store. She was noted for her organizational skills and decorative talent and at age 12, was very proud of the poster she created and entered in a BC wide competition.    The poster won First place overall.    Bevvie enjoyed travel reading, and especially the years in their South Thompson riverfront home where she loved gardening and hosted many gatherings. Beverley leaves her husband Jack, son Keith of Kamloops, stepsons Chris (Jeanne) and family of Coquitlam; Darin (Debby) and family of Vernon. We wish to thank Dr. Adamarie Steyn, Dr. Shirley Sze and all the wonderful people of the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice for their compassion and care during Beverley’s illness.Read More & Leave Condolences »
