It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Wanda Essensa on April 11, 2022 at the age of 68.
Predeceased by her parents Ralph Lutes and Ella (Lutes) Goodrich, brother Micheal Lutes and sister Sharon Russell.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband Douglas Essensa and daughters Pamela (Patrick) and Rebecca (Aaron), along with grandchildren Leah, Danielle, Jeremey and Alexis. Sisters Sheila, Beverly and Belinda with numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
Patricia was born in Moncton, New Brunswick as one of six children. Moving west at the age of 12 she grew up in New Westminster BC where she met her husband and true love of 48 years.
Patricia and Doug settled up north in Terrace BC to raise their family and made many lifelong friendships while there. Moving once their children were grown to Kamloops for work to later transition to retirement.
Patricia’s love for all things crafts saw her making family and friends many wonderful creations for weddings, birthdays and special events. Family was of great importance to her whether being surrounded by loved ones close by or simply keeping in touch by phone with those afar.
The family of Patricia would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Stinson and the nurses at Royal Inland Hospital for all the empathy
and care that they showed Pat in her last days.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be
advised in due course.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are either you.
We are sending out love to you all. I, Allan have never met my cousin but did speak to her once on the phone. It was a blessing to have the chance to speak with her. It’s sad that we never met and that we live so far away. We pray we get a chance to travel to go meet you all someday. Hugs from Moncton, New Brunswick
To Doug, Pam, Becky and families;
Your Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Friend, My Sister will be surely missed. Although I may not say it all the times, I am very proud of you girls for a great job taking care of your Mom. I know it was challenging at times, but you lived through it. Pat was very sick and it quickly took all the fight out of her. I would have moved mountains for your mom. She was always there for me and I am so fortunate I lived so close to you all while you were growing up. Pat and I sold I wares at craft sales. We hung out together with our gal pals. Spent many Christmas’s together and cleared a bit of snow in our days in the big North. I would not change a thing. Thank you for letting me into your lives. Be free Sis. Fly.
