SHARON ANN POPP 1944 — 2025

SHARON ANN POPP

With sadness we announce the passing of our Mom/Nana, Sharon Ann Popp.

She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/Dementia in May 2025 and Lung Cancer in June. With several additional health challenges she spent 4 weeks in Royal Inland Hospital with her health rapidly declining before she was transferred to Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home on July 31st where she was able to pass peacefully the morning of Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Sharon was pre-deceased by her husband Matt on May 31, 2021 and her son Martin on February 13, 1986.  Sharon is survived by her daughter Shelly (Neal) Aronowski and grandson Bradley Aronowski, sisters Joan Hicks, Phyllis (Gary) Dustin, Sue (Garry) Young, and many nieces and nephews.

Mom did not want a service and will be cremated and placed with Matt in a handmade urn created by Bradley and Neal.  Mom and Dad’s urn will be interred at the foot of Matt’s mother’s grave at Hillside Cemetery in Kamloops, BC.

We would like to thank all the amazing doctors, nurses, and care aids at RIH and Marjorie Willoughby for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, we would be blessed if you consider making a donation to Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home in Kamloops in Mom’s memory.

Condolences may be sent to the family at
