Sharron Olsen of Kamloops, BC passed away on April 17, 2017 at 65 years of age.
Sharron is survived by her loving husband Ray Olsen, children Grant (Tiffany) Olsen and Lori (Shauna Campsall) Olsen, brothers Bill Larrett, Dave Larrett and sister Linda Larrett, relatives Jeff Scott, Marc Scott, Stacy Mercier, Jody Larrett and Janice Rettie.
She was predeceased by her parents Stan and Robina Larrett.
Sharron was born in Timmins, Ontario on April 24, 1951. She moved to Kamloops in 1974 and married Ray in 1975. Sharron worked as a Travel agent until December 2007. When the business was sold she tried retirement but she wanted to do something so she started a new job at HUB insurance, where she was employee of the year six times. In her spare time she loved to travel and see the world. She volunteered in numerous curling events including two Briers, a World Championship and various other Bonspiels. Sharron spent her free time curling and having many laughs with her amazing friends. She was a recipient of the Matheson Award in 1997 (Volunteer Award). Sharron was a caring and loving woman, who always made sure everyone was taken care of before herself. She welcomed everyone and anyone into her life and home at any time including holidays. Sharron was a special lady who made sure everyone felt special in her presence. She was loved and will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Kamloops Curling Club.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Sharron’s passing. I truly treasure my childhood memories growing up and spending so much time in the company of my favourite cousins in Timmins. Sharron was a real blessing in this world and will always be remembered for her kindness and grace. My deepest sympathies to Ray, Bill, David and Linda.

I was shocked to read the obituary for Sharron today. We’ve been away from the “curling world” for a number of years now and had no idea. Sharon was a wonderful, kind woman and she will be missed by so many. Our thoughts and prayers go out especially to Ray, Grant and Lori. She touched so many people and will be forever cherished.
