Though we sometimes clashed, Reid you were a bright spot in my Cathedral life. You leave a large hole in the volunteer base and in your family/friend’s lives. God speed and love to Verna and the kids.
Verna So sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing Reid at the church.
We worked together in the grocery business for many years. He was a great person and gave me lots of insight into the grocery business.
I am very sorry to read of Reid’s passing. My sympathy go out to the family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Verna and family, we were saddened to hear of Reid’s passing but thoughts of him (and you) brought back many pleasant memories. We became acquainted with him through Bob’s sister Pat and brother-in-law Cam Mayes, and later the Church of Cleopas. We especially appreciated the many unselfish tasks he performed for the Church of Cleopas especially as cook and procurer of fine foods and improved kitchen equipment.
Bob has fond thoughts of him in many personal ways, almost as a brother. especially when he used that “excuse” to be the first to visit me when I was admitted to the ICU at the Kamloops Hospital some years ago. Reid had a way of getting around rules he didn’t like. We were glad we had time to chat on our visit to Kamloops a year or so ago and will, like many others miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
So sorry for your loss. Oddly I found a bottle of Reid’s wine in the cupboard a few days ago and remembered the times shared here in Silverhill. Maybe we can share it one day soon. Hugs, Karin
