Valerie was predeceased by her husband Robin (Willie) Michael Wilson, her parents – Herb and Melba Schultz.
Valerie was born in Vancouver BC on July 14th, 1950. Growing up she lived in many homes in the lower mainland with her parents and sisters. In 1970 she married the love of her life Robin (Willie) Wilson and moved to Kamloops where she happily made a home for herself, her children, and anyone else who needed one! One of Valerie’s greatest joys in life was being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
In 1981 Valerie got her Real Estate License. She built a successful career as a well-loved realtor in Kamloops. She was known for her professionalism, vibrant energy and unforgettable dance moves at any real estate party.
Valerie was known for the deep love of her family and her friends. She was an amazing cook and a wonderful host! Her motto was the more the merrier for any holiday dinner and there was always time for an impromptu pool party! Whether it was playing cards, thrifting, camping, dancing or singing she was always laughing and having a good time. True happiness for Valerie was cruising on the back of the Harley with her husband exploring the open road together!
Valerie’s great sense of humour, and zest for life will be missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life for Valerie will be held on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, at 1:00pm in The Kamloops Funeral Home, Kamloops, British Columbia. Reception to follow immediately after the service.
